Over before its even begun??? Bad losses to Wales and Hungary have already brought the knives out for Berti Vogts and the press have turned against him. One paper even offered to buy him his ticket back to Germany. With the worst squad of players in living memory, a complete lack of organisation on the field and the press ready to jump on any bad result is it time to start looking to Euro 2008 already?

yeah its not good is it... My mum was born in scotland so technically I could turn out for the NT. If it weren't for those knees Mcfadden and Fergie the only really good players the rest...well... Vogts managed a pretty talented and organised german team. I think the trouble is Scotland dont think they can win any games half the time. Need someone like Rehagel (bygones) who can organise a load of duffers into a unit. either him or Emilio Estevez. I've seen what he did in Mighty Ducks.

Only Spain away in a friendly next before the World Cup qualifiers begin! To be fair to Vogts he does seem to enjoy picking difficult teams to play in friendlies (Norway, Denmark, Spain, France, Romania etc), whereas if he went for Trinidad & Tobago all the time he'd have an ace win record. Stevie Tosh for Scotland!

Scotland 0-0 Slovenia
Five points behind Italy already... but that's not a problem as we were probably looking at 2nd place anyway. Beat Norway and we're on our way.
Maybe...

Scotland isn't the same without McCoist, Ferguson, etc. We've still got ONE Ferguson (Barry) which one were you meaning... I think Scotland has had a Ferguson in the team since about 1980... We've had Barry, Duncan, Ian, Derek..possibly a few more. Think of the great players that Scotland has had Dalglish, Law, Souness, Miller, McLeish, Baxter, etc etc now we have Nigel Quashie

international footy is losing the old school team pyramid. with the freedom of players through the leagues this helps even the balance with players from all sorts of countries playing at the highest level. quite where all this leaves scotland...

The same Ian that endeared himself to the Tartan Army by calling them a 'bunch of culunts' (apologies for the language its a direct quote!!) while traipsing off after drawing 0-0 with Estonia in Monaco?? Swear filter got me...I thought it was turned off

I'll never forgive Sally McMoist for sliding into Theo Snelders' face with the ball completely out of reach and breaking his jaw, thus forcing Aberdeen to play the inexperienced Michael Watt in goals (as well as the on-loan Andy bloody Dibble) and give Rangers an easier path to the title in 1990/91.

Ian Ferguson won four gold medals for New Zealand at the 84 and 88 Olympics for canoeing.
