Are Nonato and Feijao on loans to the respective clubs or have they been sold on??
Without those two, Daegu FC will really struggle. Not sure of the exact stats, but they scored the majority of Daegu's goals last season.
I wonder where the motivation came from to get rid of them....??

FC Seul strikes again in Portugal. After Ricardo Nascimento, now FRANCO, the central defender from RIO AVE FC, is going to sign saturday night for the corean clube. He is a defender that made all the 34 games of RAFC last season, and this year only lost some minutes against Benfica. He is a leader on the field, and he's always giving orders and helping his teammates. The fact he's 31 years old and the facto RIO AVE needs to save the money from his contracto forced the situation. They are saying here that the transfer fee will be 150.000 euros. By the way, Franco is Rio Ave best scorer this season, with 5 goals. All from corners kicked by Ricardo Nascimento. They work well together in set plays. By the way, Ricardo came back to Portugal from the pre-season stage in Cyprus and he says the conditions of FC Seoul are wonderful and that he scored a goal and gave several assists in a couple of training matches he did over there. Next week he will leave for Korea, to fulfill his two year contract. But before, he will support Rio Ave agains Boavista, showing up in the stadium to encourage his former teammates. Over here the news and an exclusive photo of Franco with the brazilian agent that works with FC Seul: translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Frioave.weblog.com.pt&langpair=pt|en&hl=pt-BR&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_toolsIn this link news about other players the guys from FC Seul are searching in Portugal: translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fterceiroanel.weblog.com.pt&langpair=pt|en&hl=pt-BR&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_toolsLater on, and because RAFC plays tomorrow against Boavista, i will try to give more news. But beware of the Rio Ave Weblog. I leave you with some pictures of Franco. Cheers. img.photobucket.com/albums/v171/rioave/rioavenacional0405/FrancoJacques.jpg[/img] Above, Franco celebrating the goal scored against Nacional. Down here, the same Franco in Da Luz Stadium, fighting with Benfica norwegian player Karadas. He also scored over there.

Are Nonato and Feijao on loans to the respective clubs or have they been sold on? Yep, just loan deals... as far as can tell they're keeping Santiago for this year and have added the Japanese/Brazilian Sandro Hiroshi. I don't know if they'll be able to add any more foreigners then seeing as technically the loan guys are registered to Daegu.

Not 100% sure how loan deals work but i'd have thought that the player registration must be transferred for the period of the loan contract. Wouldn't that be right? Surely they have to be registered with the club they are playing for?

Surely they have to be registered with the club they are playing for? Yep, but it depends on how they operate the squad limit system. Technically the loan players are still Daegu players so I dunno whether the K-League would view it like that. If they did, then it would seem strange that Daegu would loan two foreign players out and restrict themselves to only using two foreigners in their own team.

Some more Brazilians coming:
Ulsan are bringing in two but I can't really make out their names too well (ÇìÀ̳¯µµ = Reinaldo?; ¹ßºñ¿¡¸® = Valvieri? Balbieri?), Bucheon one (È£µå¸®°í = Rodrigo) and Cheonbuk one (Moreira Herivelto, from Walsall).
There was a Reinaldo playing for Criciuma in the Brazilian league in 2004 so it might have been him. Rodrigo
Moreira Herivelto is coming on a one year loan. He's a midfielder, 29 years old and he's played in 33 games for Walsall since 2001 (20 as sub) and scored 6 times. He went to Ionikos around 2003 but came back to Walsall at some point. Ah... I've just remembered the name and it's a player that Aberdeen had on trial back in November.

Felix Nzeina is the Cameroon dude, Luciano is the ex-Daejeon dude... ȂȂ (the Korean expression for "give us a kiss!") is a Brazilian dude called Dilson Ferreira de Popo Souza from ADAP Club. I guess Luciano's wearing the 2005 shirt.

Daegu are gonna be nutted now. If they could have had a couple of solid defenders last year they may have pushed for the semis or higher. Big losses.
Yet another year with the corporates finishing first to sixth and the rest producing decent newcomers who get snapped up for the company teams in 2006?
