This guy is regarded as a pretty bright hope in Japanese football... he's 19 years old and signed up with Jubilo Iwata from a schools club recently. His father is Northern Irish and his mother is Japanese. He was born in Japan and has played up to U-18 level for Japan, but he's still technically eligible for Northern Ireland I think because of his dual nationality (not sure if he'll have to give that up at any point in the future). He might have played against Cheonbuk Motors in the AFC Champions League earlier this season, but he definitely scored against BEC Tero Sasana in Jubilo's final group game. I wonder if/when we'll see similar players coming through into the Korean leagues... and maybe in 20-odd years there'll be a mini-HJ banging in the goals for Suwon ;D

I posted about banging the babes in Brazil and bringing them back to have our version of Cullen in future. But I guess someone wasn't happy and deleted it... or was it not posted?

Cullen played in the U-19 game vs Korea a few months back and was brilliant. Just a monter with the ball. HArd as nails. The Japanese cameras were focused on their poster boy Hirayama. A friend in Japan said he speaks little to no English.
