Just a thread for me and HJ to mongrel about Aberdeen's failure to score goals in the upcoming matches. Everyone else is free to comment though Actually been looking pretty promising for us this year under new management (the previous guy went back to his old job as an alcoholic ploughman I think) and three weeks into the season Aberdeen are unbeaten with a 0 in the goals against column. There's even a 1 in the goals for Noel Whelan opened his account last week and then in true ''I'm a hotshot EPL player, worship at my feet'' style got carried off and misses this week's game. He obviously feels he's contributed enough now and can sit out the rest of the season a la Ben Thornley or Craig Hignett. This week sees us take on bogey team Livvy so we'll probably mess that up. Elsewhere Rangers take on Celtic in a game that could see Rangers season over before its even begun. Alex McLeish is already looking shaky after getting dumped out of the Champions League and if he loses badly on Sunday then he will be in serious trouble.

(the previous guy went back to his old job as an alcoholic ploughman I think) Well he was tending to a bunch of neeps during his time at Pittodrie... Mind you, he might have done something right in signing Steven Craig after today's showing ;D

Craig Hignetts wound up at Leeds he can't get a game there at the minute, which is fine he's on a pay for play contract or something muhahahahah!!!
maybe the dons should have thought about that for noël. Not suprised at the injury... probably had a busy night ahead of him... wanted to get off early

The last senior team in Great Britain still to concede a goal... Why on earth did we waste those 18 months with Jakey in charge? They were even worse than the 18-odd months that Portaloo had...

Dundee United 1-1 Aberdeen Ach well, we had to concede eventually... and it took a penalty to do it too! Still unbeaten though, but we've fallen six points behind Celtic. Rangers down to fourth is very funny

Still 2nd in the table...at least until Rangers beat Hearts later today!
Zander Diamond has scuppered any chance of getting a move to a EPL club for a while since hes injured for 2 months.
Steve Tosh (boo!) got booked for giving new meaning to the term 'putting the ball out of play' for Diamond to get treatment by rocketing it into the Dundee Utd dugout at about 400mph! I'm surprised he didn't miss!!

Unbelievable that we are no 7 games unbeaten and 2nd in the league and we've only scored 5 goals .... one of them was even an OG!!
And the only goal we conceded was a pen! We'll be the first team to be champions and score less than 20 goals!!

Celtic drop their first points of the season with a 2-2 draw to Hibs....Rangers JUST beat Inverness Caley Thistle and Dunfermline beat Hearts. Good news for Aberdeen who stay a point ahead of Rangers and trail Celtic by just 4!!
Next up Huns in the CIS Cup and then Hibs at Pittodrie!

I love it when the press turn on Rangers...even better because most of the stuff is written by Rangers fans...
Dragan Mladenovic was removed on a stretcher after collapsing in the first half but he had shown enough to remind everyone he is a footballer who can't run, and that, I'd humbly suggest, is something of a drawback in his line of work.
Seems like they don'like this guy Mladenovic...
Seconds after Ross's moment of madness Mladenovic seemed to expire. One minute he was standing watching, as is his is norm, the next he was on the deck
Haha..love the summary in the man for man ratings...
Dragan Mladenovic 1 Did one thing - collapse. Note to medics: Never mind his knee, check for pulse.
