In Malaysia..
Game 1 Korea 0-3 Iraq (ooops...)
Game 2 Korea 2-0 Yemen (playing now, 30 minutes into the first half)
Iraq have already qualified for the quarter-finals... if Korea want to retain their trophy they have to finish beating Yemen today and then beat Thailand on Thursday. Syria or Uzbekistan await in the next round if they get through.

Man is Korean football going down the toilet.

4-0 was the full-time score against Yemen.
In their defence (a wee bit), both games were played in the pissing rain - didn't look nice to play in at all...

I reckon it also doesn't help that the KFA like to recycle the same few favoured coaches. Fail with one team, and you get another.

Korea v Thailand is on right now... no game on TV until 12:10am, but apparently some Korean player scored an own goal, and maybe someone else got sent off. Doesn't sound too good so far...

Finished 1-1. Korea equalised with a free-kick shortly before half-time. Hardly the most inspiring way to charge into the next round.

Korea 2-1 Uzbekistan (after extra time, I think)
Kim Sung-yong (FC Seoul) and Shin Young-rok (Suwon) scored both goals, so Korea will now meet Japan in the semi-finals.

Beat Japan on penalties to reach the final. Not a great performance but deserved as they were the better team on the night. I thought Japan were going to jammily steal the shootout though after equalising twice in injury time when Korea should've had the game killed off.

Korea 2-2 Japan
Korea win 4-1 on penalties.
Guess they're into the final then, against China who just beat Syria 1-0.

Japan were great from the spot.
3 out of their 4 penalties were.... 2 feet over the bar, 2 feet to the left of the left post and 2 feet to the right of the right post.
If they could have hit one under the goal I'm sure they would have.
Real amateur type stuff.
