I think the styles all right I'd just like to see Korea produce some decent strikers who can actually dribble past somebody and stick the ball in the back of the net.
So many of their goals come from headers or long range 'flukes'.
But in terms of their ball movement round the pitch they look pretty decent and they are attack minded (at least v crappy Asian teams).

I agree with Nyujeelandsaram. They play a decent style. I just don't like all the attempted crosses for headers. There has to be a better way to score goals.

well if ur talkin bout 2002 WC team, that team was full of Pace and Stamina. The players ran like crazy monkeys for full 90 minutes.
Right now, they just don't play like it. They play like tired moneys with only 1 leg. It's just not the same style.

Can't expect the same level when they are playing Oman away 2 years out from the WC with some personelle changes and no preparation time.

I'm not a big fan of the Korean style but maybe thats showing my roots in SPL/British style football.
Korean style seems to based on a lot of neat but really inneffectual passing that never really goes anywhere. Generally as mentioned they don't create any real chances (just defensive mistakes or set pieces), they don't really seem up for battling in midfield and their strikers want to walk the ball into the net.
I think Cha Du Ri makes a big difference when he plays up front since he does seem to be more European styled and more direct.
Still it does seem to work. Or at least it works more than certain countries style which consists of losing as many goals as you can in 90 minutes

Ah yes the Jo Gwang-rae style of football. Watch in awe as the Anyang Cheetahs would knock the ball about with gay abandon for 90 minutes occasionally letting the opposition look at the ball and knock it into the Anyang net with two quick kicks. They are similar to the nat team in that (as SteveW says) they knock the ball about to each other but are just too slow to catch the opposition out or break them down. When I think more about it they need to learn how to get the ball to their forwards with a couple of deft passes rather than moving it to the right, playing it diagonally backwards, putting it across the field, sending it forward 10 yards, laying it off to a midfielder who then tries to lob it onto somebodies head 30 yards away. By this time the defending team has 6 guys in the box and the other 4 standing about looking for something to do.

if we're talking about the current qualifying campaign, the answer is simple. There ISN'T a Korean football style these days!
With 4 different coaches in the past 2 years, (Hiddink, the korean temp, Cohelo, Bonefrere) and players joining the team just 18 hours before matches (Cohelo said he had only about 30 hours TOTAL training with the team) It's impossible for the team to have any type of prepared system. It's basically improvisation. Each player comes to do the things he's done in his club, and hopes that other players magically understand him. if memory serves me, since the qualifyers began, the team hasn't ever lined up the same starters in the same position twice. (or even 6 out of 11) There really arent any 'owners' for team spots. (i.e. Roberto Carlos is is Brazil's starting side back, no questions asked. Ronaldo is FW. Ronaldinho too, etc.) Here, aside from the GK spot, it's anyone's guess where who will start.... we know that Lee Chun Soo will start, but where? midfield? forward? libero? roaming?
Let's hope by now Bonefrere has learned to tell korean players apart, knows a couple of their actual names, and without a Local coach pushing his friends to him, can finally organize the squad in some form of consistent pattern.
