This is a laugh...

Basically Bonfrere is right in saying that the reporter said they didn't have much skill: "South Korea lacked both in individual skills and teamwork".
But I think he robably mean't to say "teamwork" rather than "team spirit". Not to mention getting his newspapers wrong.
Crap work by all concerned.

Bonfrere Hits Out at Media Over Match With Germany
By Cho Jin-seo

INCHON - Head coach of the national football team Jo Bonfrere confusingly blamed a local newspaper for playing down his team's victory over Germany last month.
Upon returning from his holidays, at Incheon International Airport on Wednesday the Dutchman stressed several times that he was unhappy with a report in The Korea Herald, one of the nation's three English newspapers. But it appears that he was confusing this daily with The Korea Times, as the Herald hasn't published any stories about the December match so far.
``I would like to say something about the game against Germany. I would like to reply to somebody who wrote for The Korea Herald. Maybe is he here, I don't know,'' the Dutchman told reporters.
``But one day after the game with Germany, the pressman from The Korea Herald was writing in his newspaper that he had seen a lack of team spirit in the Korean team against the German national team. And he also stated that he had seen not one skillful technical player in the whole day in the Korean national team. The only good thing he had seen in the whole game was that Korea scored three goals,'' Bonfrere said, though none of the three English newspapers reported in this fashion..
``If you have no team spirit, you can never win against another team, and even against the Germans. Never.''
The Korea Times reported on the game on Dec. 20, but not in the manner suggested by Bonfrere's comments. The story said that: ``All aged under 26 except Lee (Woon-jae) and midfielder Kim Sang-sik, South Korea lacked both in individual skills and teamwork, but were more efficient in the most important part of football _ scoring goals.'' There was no reference to team spirit. The two other English newspapers here did not carry any relevant stories about the game.
Bonfrere continued to blame the media but did not identify his target clearly. ``I don't know which game this pressman saw, or what the pressman had in mind, but when somebody put this newspaper under my nose and I read it, then for me, the only conclusion from this newspaperman is that he is trying to kill the national team's players before we even start to play football.
``And that's not fair for the players who played against Germany and they worked for 90 minutes very hard. They need support. So I hope in the future, that (reporters) give a little bit more credit to the players,'' he added.
As for the upcoming World Cup qualifying round, Bonfrere said he doesn't feel comfortable with any of the three teams in Group A.
``All teams are difficult and every team has different ways of playing. So if you see Kuwait, they are very strong in counterattacks, and Saudi Arabia are physically very strong. And Uzbekistan, they play more European football. So every team plays a different style of football and every game you have to play is also different. So we have to look at which kind of players we can use in the games.''
Asked about the generation shift from the 2002 World Cup's stars to younger players, he said that the players need to show what they have during the winter training camp this month.
``I'd like to see in the training camp more of our new and young players, how they can improve and how we can make them better. That's the theme of the training camp and that's the theme for me to know the players much better than now.''
The national team will gather at the National Football Center in Paju on Friday and will leave for Los Angles on Saturday. Three friendly matches with Colombia, Paraguay and Sweden are scheduled during the 18-day winter camp as preparation for the upcoming Asian qualifiers for the 2006 World Cup, which start Feb. 9.
