...anyone know the release date for this game here in Korea?
its seems to be out in almost other country - but none of the shops in my city have it in stock yet?
...also any news concerning the K-league with this game - i heard a rumour that they couldnt agree to licence the rights or something, so there were will be no k-leagues teams in this edition? (which is a big shame, as there was nothing more satisfying as taking the reigns of the 'dragons and giving anyang a good shoeing).

Na, the K-League is in there but the Korean national team isn't.
The KFA wanted too much money - something like six times the previous lump sum figure and 5% royalties of each copy sold.
Konami are paying them 260,000 quid over 3 years (plus 3% royalties) for the Winning Eleven licence though, so the national team's in that.
Can't help on the Korean release date though...

started the career mode as Incheon United. Before i started the career mode, i transferred Freddy Adu to Incheon and created a 87 striker (with my name...hehe and he does look asian) on Incheon.
I'm 4th place though...5 wins, and 4 losses i believe.

I was Grimsby Town for the first season. I won Championship League 2. I am now DC United and top of the table but elimiated from the "MLS Cup" in the first hurdle. I am planning to move on to Austria after this season.

...this game sucks.
It is a Korean only version - language specific.
You cant switch over to English like u could in previous editions.
Any ideas on where it is possible to buy an English version that is compatible for an Asian NSTC format PS2?

Can't be of much help... but if you're up in Seoul anytime then you might be able to get one of the blokes who work at the Yongsan electronics market to rip an English-language copy that would work.

feel the need to join this topic as i have news, news, news.
well there are 2 ways to enjoy this game.
first is learn korean and enjoy the shoooooting!!! cries every time you go near the box
or
more to the point you could go in to 'my fifa' menu, game mode, and languages and switch the korean flag to english. voila! ofcourse to begin with its all in korean so just press all the buttons until you see the glorious (ahem) flag appear.

I've been a Winning Eleven faithful since I got to Korea; after playing it, FIFA seemed like arcade crap to me.. Is the 2005 version still so 'cartoony' as before? I'm quite happy with Winning Eleven 8, but I'm just wondering if FIFA is worth getting.

I got mine at Best Buy. It's pretty good, key improvement over 2004 is the first touch. The 2004 version had an awkward one which made it very frustrating to work things down the flanks. ...so uv got the brand new game then? wherd u get it from?...how does it compare to the last one?
