The guy on the right was born in Korea, is an up and coming footballer who has trained with several English club sides and represented his country at U-20 level.
The man on the left is his father and a rather famous K-League name... so who is he?

Don't recognise them, but from the description, it has to be Piyapong Pue On and Jr.

Yep, Piapong and his son Pongpisut Pue-on.
Junior has trained with the youth teams of Manchester City, Oldham and Middlesbrough, as well as working his way through the Thailand national youth set-up to U20 level.
Piapong played for Lucky-Goldstar right near the start of the K-League (84~86 I think?), and was the top scorer in 1985 when LG won the title. 45 goals in 60 international games too, I think.
Actually Junior has an eye on playing in Korea just like his father did - we'll see what transpires...

Although it's not something I generally pay much notice to, he led the league in "assists" the same season, yet somehow managed not to get league MVP. I know stats aren't how you should make that decision, but can you imagine a local player finishing top in goals and assists and not getting MVP?

They seem to ignore them here most years in baseball and footie since foreign players lead the league in them pretty often. And knowing how they distort crowd numbers it seems that Koreans are'nt so shit hot at maths as everybody reckons
