European football's target audience is set to expand following the launch of UEFA's Korean-language website. The new site will become part of a nine-language online service being offered to fans around the globe by Europe's football website.
Exclusive rights
UEFA announced on Monday that one of Korea's leading integrated digital media companies, channel2.0 Inc., had been granted the exclusive rights to build the site, kr.uefa.com, which has a similar structure to the existing family of eight sites that were launched over the last few years.
Major step
"This major step in the promotion of European football in Korea has been made possible thanks to the excellence of our partner, channel2.0 Inc.," said UEFA Media Technologies chief executive Alexandre Fourtoy. "Korean football fans will now have access to the most comprehensive coverage of European football."
Latest information
Korean users will have access to the latest information on European football that will be translated and distributed by channel2.0 Inc.. The website will also include online video highlights.
