Full time in rainy Jeonju in front of 1607 people...
Cheonbuk 3-1 Bucheon
Yoon Jung-hwan, Park Kyu-sun and Homa scored for Cheonbuk, Dabo got one back for Bucheon.
That puts Cheonbuk to the top of the league with one win and two draws... still a reasonably tight table going into Saturday's games:
Cheonbuk 5 Seoul 4 Busan 4 Pohang 4 Gwangju 4 Incheon 3 Daejeon 3 Bucheon 2 Ulsan 1 Daegu 1 Chunnam 1 Seongnam 1 Suwon 0
(Ulsan and Incheon played one, Cheonbuk and Bucheon played three... everyone else two)

So after Incheon and Gwangju draw, Daegu and Ulsan draw, Seongnam beat Busan, Seoul and Pohang draw and Suwon and Chunnam draw this is how it will look... Cheonbuk 5 Seoul 5 Pohang 5 Gwangju 5 Busan 4 Incheon 4 Seongnam 4 Daejeon 3 Suwon 2 Bucheon 2 Ulsan 2 Daegu 2 Chunnam 2 with the final table reading: everybody 19 points and the league HQ will decide to have a round robin between all the teams to decide the 3 playoff teams to join Pohang.

and for the treble post! If the playoffs were held this week these would be the finalists.... I think Jeonbuk 44 Pohang 42 (already qualified) Ulsan 38 Seongnam 38 Jeonbuk have a 7 point gap over their nearest rivals (Suwon 37) if you look at the season overall record which as I understand it gets two teams (3 if Pohang win the second stage as well) into the playoffs. So Jeonbuk are sitting pretty at the moment although Suwon have a game in hand. Teams that basically HAVE TO WIN the second stage to make the playoffs are FC Seould (30), daegu (28), Busan (28), Incheon (27), Bucheon (25) as they are 8-13 points off the 4th best overall record. I'm wrong aren't I?

Bluddy hell... I'm sure Ian Porterfield will oblige and return Busan Apartments back to the bottom end of the table in due course.
HJ's Pointless K-league trivia stat #87231: Lee Song-nam scored his first goal after gaining Korean citizenship against Busan I'cons.
