Wow...a corp of crappy germany strikers including the nerdy Klose...
Schweinsteiger really scares me though, he's got some heck of a talent.

Thanks Holy Joe for the info. Tickets will be acquired. At this stage taking a crew of 8 of various nationalities including a Russian girl who may come in handy for translation on Texas Street.

I expect an easy win for Germany, something like 5 goals to them and nil for us. Our squad will be composed of K-League-ers only.

I'm heading down with Cyclops and up to about 8 or 10 people.
Should be in a ripe state for teaching on the monday.

Yep ya know it - pretty much a get-together with the boys for his road trip...err...plane trip to the united states, i suppose. just saw his interview on MBC the other day and i guess he just wants his own evaluation instead of other coaches' evaluation of the K-Leaguers to truly determine if he thinks theyre "professional" or not.

For those planning to go, how are you getting there? I'm trying to organise people who live in different parts of Korea. Found this ws lifeinkorea which gives good info on KTX but whenever I click on the timetable link it goes somewhere else. Any help would be appreciated.

For those planning to go, how are you getting there? I'm trying to organise people who live in different parts of Korea. Found this ws lifeinkorea which gives good info on KTX but whenever I click on the timetable link it goes somewhere else. Any help would be appreciated. what general time frame are you looking at going? trains leave seoul at 9, 9:15, 9:30, 10, 10:15, 10:30. 11, 12, 12:15, 1, 1:15, 1:30, 2, 2:15, 3, 3:30, etc etc the last one departs seoul at 10:45pm the last train leaves busan for seoul at 9:30pm so you pretty much have to stay in busan on sunday night because i doubt you could get to the station from the ground in time. theres significant group discounts for groups of 4. price goes from 180,000 to 112,500 one way. I'm leaving it all to the missus though as I have no clue. Maybe if you get time you should haul your arse into the seoul station and buy tickets face to face.

Thanks. To be truthful, my previous mail was a bit vague, getting back a bigger consideration than getting there. I'm happy to stay o/night as it seems are a few others. I may end up with the same sort of numbers 8-10 just a different make up of people. Looks like no Russian girl to help with language on Texas St.

Korean squad for the Germany game... and there are a few surprises.
Goalkeepers Lee Woon-jae (Suwon) Kim Young-kwang (Chunnam)
Defenders Choi Jin-cheol (Cheonbuk) Park Jae-hong (Cheonbuk) Park Dong-hyuk (Cheonbuk) Kim Jin-kyu (Chunnam) Kim Chi-kon (FC Seoul) Lee Min-sung (Pohang) Jo Byung-guk (Suwon)
Midfielders Kim Jung-woo (Ulsan) Yoo Kyung-ryul (Ulsan) Kim Dong-jin (FC Seoul) Kim Doo-hyun (Suwon) Kim Sang-sik (Gwangju) Park Kyu-sun (Cheonbuk)
Forwards Lee Dong-guk (Gwangju) Jo Jae-jin (Shimizu S-Pulse) Kim Dong-hyun (Suwon) Namkung Do (Cheonbuk) Cha Doo-ri (Eintracht Frankfurt)
Yoo Kyung-ryul, Park Kyu-sun, Kim Dong-hyun and Namkung Do are all uncapped, and eleven of the twenty players have ten or less caps - it's a pretty young team.

They should go with this team just to confuse the Germans. They can yell "Kim! pass the ball to Kim!" and now and then they can yell out "Park!" which is of course where they are playing. Goalkeepers Kim Young-kwang (Chunnam) Defenders Park Jae-hong (Cheonbuk) Park Dong-hyuk (Cheonbuk) Kim Jin-kyu (Chunnam) Kim Chi-kon (FC Seoul) Midfielders Kim Jung-woo (Ulsan) Kim Dong-jin (FC Seoul) Kim Doo-hyun (Suwon) Kim Sang-sik (Gwangju) Forwards Kim Dong-hyun (Suwon) Park Kyu-sun (Cheonbuk) 8 Kim's 3 Lee's 3 Park's 2 Jo's 1 Yoo 1 Choi 1 Cha 1 Namgung
